During my Bsc Public Relations degree at Ulster University in which I got to dabble in advertising. Our final year assignment was to create an ad campaign for high street retailer Gap, with a brief of repositioning the brand to target the millennial demographic.
While I understood the temptation to see the coursework for what it was, just a means of assessing our ability to Harvard reference, I decided to see it as an opportunity to organize a photo shoot that I could style and shop for.
The greatest challenge was revitalizing the normcore clothing range by choosing a combination of Gap Belfast’s in-store offerings that could be styled and transformed in eye-catching ensembles. So with a Wes Anderson colour palette, my fervent models, a patient and extraordinary photographer, and a lot of giggles, we created this Start Somewhere visual campaign.
